Miriam and Gigi

Miriam loves her Gigi.

Miriam and Great Grandpa

Over Thanksgiving Miriam got to spend a lot of  time with a lot of her family on both mommy and daddy's sides. It was wonderful. Here are the only photos I have of that weekend due to camera issues. Hopefully Morgan and Steed captured more.
Looking up at her Great Grandpa who is indeed a great grandpa. So sweet.

Miriam

This post is a catch up of all the photos of Miriam I've taken since starting this blog that are wonderful to look at (mom opinion) but don't really fit into the story I'm trying to tell in each blog post. Hopefully you'll get an opportunity to know Miri's personality a bit better. She's pretty awesome.
She's no longer a passive passenger. When in the stroller, she likes to sit right up and look around.
Unless she's tired.
She's mastered stair climbing and is happy to do it all day long. She'll climb to the top of the stairs and clap her hands in celebration each time. She used to clap on each stair. So proud of herself.
She feeds herself and prefers it that way. She'll spit if you try to help her.
She loves the shoe closet and my rubber boots are her favourite.
She's happiest walking and as I've mentioned before she'll use anything to help her along.
She does this cute thing where she uses her fingers while humming to make a cute sound. Georgina used to do it too.
She's super happy
Until she's not.
She loves cuddles.
And knives.
And looking out the front window.
 And sleeping in mommy's bed.
She is one cool little baby.

A note: It looks like most of the photos were all taken on the same day due to her being in the same outfit in each. But that's not necessarily the case. It's just my favourite thing to dress her in so she wears it all the time.

A Sunny Park Day With Friends

One sunny day a couple weeks ago - who has time to blog? - we went for a walk to our local playground and met up with Anne, Leo and Max.
Georgina sang and marched merrily to the park.
And she helped push Miriam part of the way.
She cannot see where she's going but is adamant that you do not help her.
Always the big girl.

Almost there....
It's just at the end of this path...
Through the trees...
 Over the bridge...
Up the hill....
And we're here!!!
Leo adores Miriam. The little dude in red is Max, Leo's brother, who is one month older than Miriam.
Leo played so well with Miriam and she loved every moment.
Georgina and Leo started playing a questionable game of Shove Each Other Off The Stump.
They LOVED it. So we let it play out.
Action Shot!
And they played Follow The Leader.
But then it was time to say goodbye.
Those eyebrows!!!!
Goodbye kiss for his favourite
On our way home Georgina stopped to watch the school kids playing at recess. She didn't understand why she couldn't go in and play too. Don't worry Georgina, you'll be old enough too soon.

Thanks Anne, Leo and Max for a great play date. I'm sorry they don't happen more often!

A Lovely Stroll

The other weekend Georgina had a sleepover at Gigi Baba's house. The next morning we walked over to pick her up and found her dressed in Miriam's clothes! So cute. She had gone to church with Gigi that morning looking a little homeless but had a great time. I took some photos of our walk home.
Daddy making a rare appearance. He does exist! Miriam's pants fit G pretty well actually. The toque, a little less so.
Quick stop at the park cause it would be cruel not to.
There's a beautiful bridge at the bottom of the ravine that runs over a salmon spawning river (am I saying that right?). Even though I didn't see any salmon that day, Georgina must have because she stopped to fish for about 20 minutes while Miriam and Dave went on ahead.
Searching out the best fishing pole.
Looking down at all the fish and saying, "hi fish!" and counting them. Quite the imagination.
Fishing.
Showing off her big catch. "Look at that big fish mommy."
Saying goodbye to all the fish. She has a beautiful mind.
Love the big fall leaves. Proof I was there.
